Volunteer

ISMAR '09 organizing committee is recruiting student volunteers to serve in various support roles during the conference. Typical student volunteer activities include setting up the conference venue, helping with on-site registration, assisting with audio/video during conference sessions, and helping conference attendees. There will also be some more specific tasks related to setting up the tracking competition and editing video footage of the conference. Please note that the number of available student volunteer positions is limited.

Student volunteers may need to arrive one day earlier to get oriented with the environment, organizing committee and the resources within the conference area as well as to help with pre-conference setup.

In return of their service, students volunteers receive free registration.

Due to the highly interdisciplinary nature of this community, student volunteers will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with leading researchers from various branches of science (computer science, psychology, optics, etc.) and engineering that relate to augmented reality.

If you are a student and seek to assist ISMAR 2009, please contact the ISMAR Volunteers coordinator chair (Florian Fournier, University of Central Florida, florian.fournier@gmail.com) for more information.
