Transforming Lives: High-Performance, High-Risk Training with Mixed Reality
Introduction
The use of Mixed and Augmented reality is being applied within extreme training applications where there are life and death consequences. In high-risk, high-intensity training, MR/AR extend human performance. The use of MR/AR to capture, simulate, analyze human experience is being applied to the next generation training to transform lives of both professionals and their subjects.
Whether training to be a soldier or surgeon (or both), new paradigms in human experience modeling are defining the next generation training with MR/AR that will define all other forms of training. Guest speakers present and share the challenges and achievements made with MR/AR to transform lives.
Workshop Objectives
- To connect those who are and want to be active in training for high-performance and high-risk jobs, and developing tools for those who are training end users,
- To inform participants regarding the state of the art technology, in terms of responsiveness and accuracy when compared with real world situations,
- To evaluate the most popular applications for MR/AR training today and in the near future, and
- To jointly shape a vision for the future.
-
