Overview

An IEEE/ACM event, ISMAR (International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality) is the premier international meeting place for the Mixed and Augmented Reality research community. Each year carefully peer-reviewed conference papers disclose for the first time with others in the scientific community the latest developments in the field. ISMAR is held in North America, Asia and Europe on a rotating basis.

ISMAR 2009

In 2009 ISMAR celebrates its 10th anniversary

This year Orlando, Florida will host the most comprehensive ISMAR conference to date.  The programs will cover diverse application domains, technological achievements, scientific discoveries as well as feature creative expression and innovative design.  Keynotes include leading creative minds in the innovation of Mixed and Augmented Reality.

The special expanded program encompasses the breadth and depth of Mixed and Augmented Reality. ISMAR 2009 surrounds the highly respected "core" Scientific & Technology program, which will include research paper presentations and hands-on demonstrations, with comprehensive tutorials and participatory workshops as well as stimulating receptions, an award banquet and other special ISMAR 2009 attendee experiences.

In addition to gathering the best scientific minds conducting research on Mixed and Augmented Reality, ISMAR 2009 will attract those from around the world and foster cross-disciplinary dialog between scientists and those in the Arts, Media and Humanities, those who are applying the tools of Mixed and Augmented Reality in their industries, and students or those who seek an introduction to the exciting field.
